We had a tie for one of the ranks within the top eight ranks, i.e. two contestants with the same score and the same rank. Our decision is to advance both contestants to the Final Competition. As a result, we will have 9 finalists to compete on May 17.

Performer Tips
- Keep eye contact with the judges. Do not stare at them, but get some eye contact going occasionally.
- Image is important for a performer. Know your image, dress it up and play it up on stage. Judges will look at your vitality and energy on stage. Guys should wear some light make-up because the harsh stage lights will make you look washed out.
- Judges will also judge on Stage Performance (aka Confidence). Stand straight, be proud and use your body, legs or hands to emphasize certain lyrics of your songs. PLEASE, do NOT go overboard. Do not just sway left and right, it makes the viewers sea-sick.
- Bring emotion into your voice. It doesn't matter if your voice is good. If you want to win, you must bring the appropriate emotion into your voice.
- Last but not least,if YOU think you made a mistake, do NOT apologize. Just go on. To do so will bring the Judge's attention to your mistake and brings down their perception of your confidence.
